Lauren Ross (22) led the Broncos with 20 points in a win against Buffalo Saturday.

Lauren Ross of Western Michigan women’s basketball was honored as the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week Monday.

Ross was excellent in the Broncos’ wins over Ohio and Buffalo, averaging 23.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, three APG, and 1.5 SPG. She scored 27 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists in WMU’s Wednesday win over Ohio. The sophomore added 20 points, three steals, two assists and seven rebounds to put a bow on the week as well as a victory against Buffalo.

This is Ross’ fourth time receiving the MAC Player of the Week honor this season.

The Broncos will look to continue its four-game win streak when they take on EMU at 7 p.m. at home for Faculty Appreciation Day. That game will broadcast on ESPN3 and the Bronco Media Network.
