Western Michigan men's tennis will be heading to Champaign, Ill. to take on Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament selection show Monday announced the Broncos will play the Fighting Irish on Friday. WMU earned its spot in the tournament by winning the MAC championship for the third consecutive season.
WMU is currently No. 39 in the lastest ITA tennis team ranking. The Broncos earned that spot with a 22-1 regular season record including a 9-0 record in MAC play. WMU's only loss this season came to Notre Dame, currently ranked No. 37 in the ITA poll.
The Broncos also played against Notre Dame in the 2018 NCAA Tournament, where Notre Dame won 4-1 over WMU.
