Men's soccer continues to roll against Bowling Green

Western Michigan (11-5-1, 2-1-1 MAC) earned their second straight shutout, defeating Bowling Green 1-0 to earn their second win in the conference.

The Broncos continue their hot streak as the season whines down, winning seven of their last nine games.

It was a competitive defensive matchup with both teams recording just two shots on goal. However, the lone goal came thanks to Anthony Bowie who scored his sixth goal of the season. In the 35th minute, Bowie worked his way into the box and drilled his shot past the Falcon goalkeeper.

The Bronco defense was on full display during the match halting every Falcon attack that came their way. Graduate transfer Sam Biek helped the team big on the defensive side of the ball while redshirt freshman goalkeeper Isaac Walker earned his sixth shutout and is 9-2-1 on the season.

Western Michigan finishes the regular season with a game next Saturday, Nov. 9 at home against SIU Edwardsville. The Broncos currently rank second in the MAC behind regaining champion, Akron.
