Western Michigan hockey skaters Ronnie Attard and Ty Glover have earned NCHC Player of the Week Honors for their performances against the Miami RedHawks.
Attard earned the Bauer NCHC Defensemen of the Week while Glover earned Bauer NCHC Rookie of the Week.
Attard had two goals and an assist for a total of three points during the weekend to help the Broncos earn five out of six points. After last weekend's series, Attard is now third on the Broncos in points with 10, compiling seven assists and scoring three goals. Attard also sits in third in scoring among defensemen in the NCHC.
Glover had a weekend to remember against the RedHawks. Glover assisted Attard on the game tying goal in the first game against Miami and later scored his first career goal to seal the victory for the Broncos. He scored again in the second game in the third period to cut Miami’s lead to 2-1, and later helped WMU get within one against the RedHawks as he assisted Jamie Rome in scoring to make it 3-2. Glover's four point series improved him to seven points on the year with two goals and five assists.
