WMU Women's Soccer Bailey Korhorn

Bailey Korhorn has notched 27 career goals, the most ever for WMU women's soccer, including two last week that earned her MAC Offensive Player of the Week

Western Michigan women's soccer (3-9-1, 1-4-0) was defeated by Ohio (8-3-1, 4-0-1) 3-1 Thursday as WMU continued to struggle.

Ohio got on the board early with a goal by Abby Townsend in just the fourth minute to give the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead.

Western Michigan tied the game with a goal in the 32nd minute by Bailey Korhorn, her fifth goal this season.

Ohio took the lead back in the 41st minute with a goal by Julianna Farina. Ohio scored once again in the 77th minute with a goal by Shae Robertson to give Ohio a two-goal lead and the victory in the end.

Ohio not only had the edge on the scoreboard, but in shots as well with the Bobcats outshooting the Broncos 20-10 and in shots on goal 8-7.

Western Michigan will look to get back in the win column returning home to WMU Soccer Complex Sunday for a matchup against Kent State at 2 p.m.
