Ryan McAllister (8) was the nation's leading scorer with 16 points in November

Western Michigan hockey forward Ryan McAllister was named National Collegiate Hockey Conference Rookie of the Week Monday. It marked the fourth time this season the freshman received the award.

McAllister is coming off another strong performance. He tallied three assists in a 6-4 win over No. 18 Northeastern in the Music City Hockey Classic Nov. 25. He assisted on WMU's first goal, assisted on the third goal for a 3-1 lead and assisted on Max Sasson's game-winning power play goal.

He leads all of NCAA Division I with 29 points and 22 assists in 16 games. The Broncos return to action this weekend with a road series against Omaha. Game one is Friday at 8:00 p.m. It can be streamed on NCHC.tv and Bronco Media Network.
