Western Michigan University is inviting Spring 2021 graduates to brainstorm ways the university can augment the virtual ceremony safely, per an email from the Registrar’s office. The virtual brainstorming session takes place Thursday, March 25, from 9 to 10 a.m. 

Those interested in participating are asked to contact Courtney Arnold, executive assistant senior to the chief of staff and secretary to the WMU Board of Trustees, at

“We are grateful for your understanding and stewardship as we navigate these unprecedented challenges with full focus on the health, safety and enthusiastic celebration of you, your fellow graduates and all others who want to be part of this memorable tribute,” The email read.

Graduates were reminded the deadline to submit a photo for inclusion in the May 1 ceremony is Friday, March 26 at 11:59 p.m.
