The city of Kalamazoo finished counting ballots Wednesday night and they have submitted them to the county for certification.
Joe Biden won Kalamazoo County with 83,674 votes and Sen. Gary Peters won Kalamazoo county by 78,840 votes
Democratic candidate for the 6th district, Jon Hoadley, won Kalamazoo County by 71,502 votes but was defeated overall by Republican Fred Upton.
In the 63rd district, Republican Matt Hall won the race for State Rep. with 15,930 votes beating Democrat Luke Howell.
Kalamazoo Commissioner Julie Rogers has won the 60th district state representative race with 30,037 votes and Christine Morse won the race for state representative in the 63rd district with 31,885 votes.
On Thursday, it was revealed that 5.5 million people voted in Michigan’s election. That is the highest voter turnout rate in 60 years. 71% of those voters were 18 or older. Kalamazoo County also set a new voting record with 144,371 votes cast in the county.
