covid thansgiving II

A student receives a rapid COVID-19 test from their car outside Sindecuse health center as part of WMU’s pre-thanksgiving testing event.

Sindecuse Health Center will be honoring the 'unused' asymptomatic, no exposure COVID-19 test offer from last semester for those who seek screening tests, said Joe VanDerBos, patient experience director at Sindecuse.

Last semester, faculty, staff and students received two no-cost COVID-19 tests.

Students and employees with close-contact exposure, 6 feet or less for 15 minutes or more, or who are exhibiting symptoms related to COVID-19 are still offered a telehealth video visit at no out-of-pocket cost.

As before, insurance will be billed first, and any portion not paid by insurance is being picked up by Western Michigan University.

Sindecuse also has been working with the COVID-19 Response Coordination Team on COVID-19 testing details as students return to campus, VanDerBos said. Students will receive more information on this.

Students can make an appointment to be tested at Sindecuse by calling (269) 387-3287.
