Miller Fountain. 

Western Michigan University will hold their Spring 2021 commencement virtually, per and email from the Registrar’s Office. The virtual commencement ceremonies will be May 1.

“The whole University is immensely proud of the Class of 2021, and we are working to ensure an event that reflects the excitement we share in watching you succeed,” the email read.

 To participate in the virtual ceremony:

  • Submit an individual photo by Friday, March 19.  Please upload the highest quality .jpg or .png image available here.

  • Provide your name as you would like it displayed. As in a traditional ceremony, names will be announced for all participating graduates. Include phonetic spelling to To ensure your name is pronounced correctly.

  • You have the option of including a brief quote that will appear with your photo. Quotes should be no longer than 80 characters.

A link to view the ceremonies will be located at wmich.edu/commencement. Questions about the ceremony can be contacted through the Registrar's Office or calling (269) 387-4300.

“I look forward to being part of these ceremonies to celebrate your degree completion on May 1 and can’t wait to applaud your future accomplishments,” the email read.
