Classes begin again on Friday, Jan. 10 at 8 a.m. for Western Michigan University students. As Winter break comes to a close, watch for these important Spring semester dates.

January

6: Tuition and fees due

6-7: Advising days

8: Residence halls open at 10 a.m.

10: Classes begin at 8 a.m.

14: Last day to drop/add classes; Last day to receive a 100% refund

17: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day - no classes

19: $100 add fee begins; Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript

21: Last day to receive a 90% refund for a complete withdrawal

25: Last day to receive a 50% refund for a partial withdrawal

February

7: Last day to receive a 50% refund for a complete withdrawal

March

4: Spirit Day - no classes

7: Midterm grades due; Last day to receive a 25% refund for a complete withdrawal

7-11: Spring break

21: Last day to withdraw from classes

April

25-28: Final exam week

29: Residence halls close at 7 p.m.

30: Semester ends; Commencement

May

3: Final grades due
