‘It causes so much fear, anxiety and stress:’ Crime in Kalamazoo 146% national average

WMU Department of Public Safety.

The Western Michigan University Department of Public Safety has asked Housing and Residence Life to remind all residents to secure vehicles by locking all doors when parking their car.

DPS also asked that when locking your vehicle, remember to remove any hide-a-keys and avoid storing items or currency in your vehicles, especially in plain view.

DPS has received multiple recent cases involving likely unlocked vehicles from across campus so they encourage all residents to take safety precautions with their vehicles.

Any concerns can be reported to DPS at 269-387-5555.
