WMU School of Music will feature touring vocalist, pianist

(Aaron Ulrich / Western Herald) Singer Sarah Holman performed with pianist Karin Redekopp Edwards at the Dalton Center Recital Hall .
The WMU School of Music will be featuring guest artist Sarah Holman in the Dalton Center Recital Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008. Holman, a mezzo-soprano, will be performing her rendition of David Cutler’s “Evenly Spaced Waves of Irony.” Accompanying Holman will be pianist Karin Redekopp Edwards.
Holman has toured the United States, Mexico and South Korea performing with various opera groups and orchestras from around the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas, The Cleveland Institute of Music and William Jewel College. She has worked in the vocal departments of many colleges and universities including Baker University, Mid-American Nazarene University and William Jewel College. Holman has been an Associate Professor of voice and the director of the opera program at Wheaton College Conservatory since 1991.
The recital will begin at 8:15 p.m. and is free for all to attend.
