P.J. Fleck, wide receivers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be announced as the successor to Bill Cubit as the new Broncos head football coach at a press conference tomorrow, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m.

The reports have been confirmed by Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Fleck is familiar with Mid American Conference football as he spent his college career as a wide receiver for the Northern Illinois University Huskies.

Before getting the job coaching wide receivers for Tampa Bay, Fleck spent time on the coaching staffs of Rutgers, and his alma mater, NIU.

Fleck will be the 15th head coach for a Western Michigan program that began play in 1906.

The Western Herald is following this story and will have more information after the press conference.
