WMU men’s tennis team falls to Northwestern University

Western Michigan University’s men’s tennis team fell to Northwestern University in an away match on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Broncos got off to a slow start, losing all three of the doubles matches to the Wildcats.

In singles play, WMU’s men got on the board with two points. At no. 1, Nadin Indre of Western bested Sidarth Balaji 2-6, 6-1, 6-1. Ross VanderPloeg was able to defeat NU’s Alex Pasareanu 6-2, 7-6 (11-9) at no. 5.

Despite their best efforts, the Brown and Gold were unable to beat out the Wildcats, and the match ended with a score of 5-2 in NU’s favor.
