WMU men’s basketball stays in first place in MAC West with win against Toledo

The Western Michigan University men’s basketball team is now on a three-game winning streak after beating Mid-American Conference rival Toledo, 65-62, on the road Wednesday night.

The Bronco’s victory gives the team an overall record of 18-9, and a 9-4 record within the MAC.

WMU’s Darius Paul had a career-high 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.  Red-shirt junior David Brown added another 15 points in the Bronco’s victory.

Toledo’s Reese Holliday led the Rockets with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Broncos outworked the Rockets on the glass, grabbing 42 rebounds to Toledo’s 31.

The men’s basketball team will be on the road this Saturday as they take on the Eastern Michigan University Eagles at 2 p.m.
