The Western Michigan University men’s basketball team came up one point short against the Eastern Michigan Eagles Saturday afternoon in Ypsilanti, Mich.

The 49-50 loss drops the Broncos to 18-10 overall and 9-5 in the Mid-American Conference.

The game was tied at the end of regulation.  In overtime the Eagles made one more shot than the Broncos.  They went 3-5 compared to WMU’s 2-6.

Shayne Whittington led the Broncos in scoring, as he has done for much of the season, with 11 points to go along with his 11 rebounds.

Western Michigan will end the season with two home games.  They take on Ball State Mar. 5 and Central Michigan Mar. 9.
