Senior running back and kick returner Brandon West has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week Monday.

West recorded 282 all-purpose yards in Western Michigan University’s 34-31 overtime win over the University at Buffalo Saturday, including 133 rushing, 41 receiving and 108 kick return yards. It was the 12th time in his career that he’s rushed for 100 yards in a game.

This is the sixth time in his career that West has won Special Teams Player of the Week and the first this season.
