Mitchell nominated for All-State Good Works Team

Western Michigan University senior center Nick Mitchell was announced as a nominee for the 2010 All-State Good Works Team.  The 112 nominees is a record number with the 22-member team to be announced in late September.

Mitchell has a total of 28 games with the Broncos, including 18 starts during his career. The biomedical sciences major is a team leader in the area of community service. Often times, he hits double digits in hours put in every semester.

ESPN.com plans to launch a customized Allstate Good Works Team® web site. The site will include profiles and images of the final 22 award recipients,plus a unique and interactive content for college football fans.  For the first time ever, fans will be able to vote for the team captain.
