Former Western Michigan University goalie Riley Gill signed with the Kalamazoo K-Wings on Tuesday afternoon.
After four years with the Broncos, the Northfield, Minn., native finished his career with 39 wins in a total of 111 appearances, the third most amongst goalies in WMU history.
Gill also recorded a Western Michigan record eight shutouts, a school record .915 save percentage and the second-best goals against average in school history at 2.94.
Twice Gill recorded 54 saves in a game, falling just six short of Glenn Healy’s school record of 60 saves. The first game Gill made 54 saves in was on March 7, 2009 against Lake Superior State University. The Broncos pulled out a thrilling victory, defeating the Lakers, 4-3, in double-overtime.
The second time Gill picked up his 54 saves was during WMU’s 4-1 victory over Notre Dame University on Feb. 6.
Gill is scheduled to graduate in June with a degree in business.
