After rattling off seven straight wins the Western Michigan University men’s basketball squad lost its second straight conference road game tonight to Bowling Green, 60-70.
The loss drops the Bronco’s overall record to 15-9 overall and 7-4 in the Mid American Conference.
Junior center Shayne Whittington had another strong game in the losing effort. He recorded a double-double with 13 points on 6-for-12 shooting and had 15 rebounds.
Three-point shooting was a key factor as Bowling Green made six of their 13 attempts whereas WMU was only able to sink three of their 15 three point shots.
The men will be home this Saturday when they will look to get back to their winning ways against Northern Illinois University at 6:04 p.m. It will be faculty/staff appreciation night.
