On Thursday, PrepVolleyball.com released the list of its High School All-Americans. On it were the names of three incoming recruits to the Western Michigan University volleyball team.

Terin Norris, a 5-foot-10-inch setter from Delton, Mich., Lena Oliver, a 5-foot-5-inch libero from Battle Creek, Mich. and Taylor Richard, a 6-foot outside hitter from Las Vegas, Nev. were on the list.

In order to be named High School All-American, a player must have been the best player on their team and one of the top three to five players in their state, said PrepVolleyball.com’s John Tawa.

Norris has led Delton-Kellogg to its first two conference championships in two seasons. This year, Norris led Delton to the MHSAA Class B championship as the Panthers finished the season with a 59-7-2 record and were ranked second in the state. Norris has earned all-conference honors in all four years of play, including earning first team honors in the last three seasons.

Oliver led the No. 1 ranked St. Philip Catholic Central Tigers (63-7-3) to a Class D state championship for the fourth year in a row. Oliver was one of 10 finalists for Michigan Miss Volleyball and is also a four-year varsity letter winner in basketball.

Richard led the Silverado Skyhawks to their second Nevada Class 4A state championship this season with 19 kills in the state championship match alone. Richard played with the Southern California Volleyball Association High Performance club this summer in the European Global Challenge and earned all-tournament honors in the competition that took place in Italy, Switzerland and Croatia.
