WMU should provide a booklet of useful links for students on campus

When looking at the Western Michigan University website, it makes me wonder why there isn’t a comprehensive link or booklet that lists useful resources for students within different departments.

Most universities provide their students with a link or a booklet on the useful websites that help the students explore the main concepts in their majors.

Why doesn’t WMU provide this to their students?

The benefit of this idea lies in the fact that undergraduate and graduate students need to know about the useful websites and links known by the professors of the department who have broad and distinguished knowledge in this regard.

For example, the undergraduate students might be in need of the websites that give the ABC’s of their majors.

These websites will help the students delve into the fundamentals of their specialties and know more about the main concepts and theories of their majors.

Similarly, the graduate students need to know about the academic associations and the journals in order to publish their research and to be updated about any development in their majors.

Additionally, this idea might help the faculty members at WMU develop the level of their students by giving them a chance to know the basics and the concepts of their majors.

Someone might say that the faculty members provide their students with useful links in classrooms through teaching.

This might be true, but why not gather all of these links and publish them in a booklet that will be at the student’s hands?

Certainly, the guests coming to our campus will benefit from this idea which will also prove to be an attraction for prospective future students.

Furthermore, the effort of publishing these websites in a booklet form might be shared with the students.

Some graduate students have good knowledge about the useful sites in their majors, so they can be a kind of help in enriching the list of useful links for the students.

In short, knowing the students’ views about the suggested useful websites through holding a discussion between the department and the students might be fruitful in this regard.

Additionally, a list of the main concepts and theories might be useful for the students to delve into the fundamentals of their majors.

Providing the students with a list of critics and distinguished scholars might open the communication between the students and the scholars in their majors.

Finally, WMU is playing a great role in providing the students with all things they need to learn effectively.

We need our university to help us know more about the useful resources that might facilitate and improve our learning in order to be successful, competitive students both in and out of the classroom.
