I count myself in nothing else so happy, As in a soul remembering my good friends.
—William Shakespeare
I’m graduating on Saturday. I have no idea where the past four years have gone, but I know that I will never forget the memories or the friends I made at Western Michigan University.
I chose WMU without ever visiting Kalamazoo or touring campus. I just knew that I wanted to come here and I was lucky that once I got here, I loved it.
If I had to do it again, I would. Kalamazoo has become a home for me and I am really going to miss the campus, the community, the Western Herald and all the people who I met these past four years.
I had great professors who were more like mentors; I had great roommates, great friends and great co-workers. I met the love of my life walking on campus, so this school will always hold special meaning for me.
This past year has been one of the most memorable years I’ve had at WMU. I served as the editor in chief of the Herald this year and it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff. They are amazing people and I am going to miss every single one of them. They’ve made my college experience a memorable one.
Congratulations to all the 2009 WMU grads. I hope you all made the most of your college career.
Thank you WMU for the memories and a great four years.
