My heart and stomach are definitely finding my pathway home this Thanksgiving, a 10 hour pathway that is.  There is something about this Thanksgiving that seems to be more exciting for me, I don’t know if it’s the desperate need for a vacation or the thought of being with my family and loved ones after being apart for so many months. I’ve never been so excited to make the blustery trip to the Upper Peninsula in search of turkey and trimmings.
I’ve really started to appreciate Thanksgiving since I’ve been away at school and I wish it came around more than once a year. It seems like there should be more than one excuse to get together with family and friends to feast on some of the best comfort food of all time.
Whether you are able to be with your families or not over the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope you can take the time to think about the people in your lives that mean the most.
