Hey Charlie, just because you don’t know if a decision has been made, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be coaching the Irish next season.
Usually this kind of stuff takes place behind closed doors and firings usually come out of nowhere (i.e. Dick Jauron’s firing from the Buffalo Bills this week).
I’m sure the Notre Dame alumni are talking about your future right now. If the alumni want someone gone, they get what they want. Just ask Tyrone Willingham and Bob Davie.
The reality is that losing to Navy two out of the last three years, and both those losses coming in South Bend, Ind., may be the nail in the coffin for Weis.
Notre Dame isn’t going to tell you with two games left in the season if you’re done. They’ll let you know after you lose to Stanford in two weeks.
