LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Bronco loss on ESPN2 embarrassing

I love my Broncos. I love college football. I love ESPN. So, I was so excited to find out that we were playing on ESPN2 for a chance at a bowl game. How great would that be ‑ and playing a very BAD team in Ball State. How disappointed was I when I turned on the game in the 3rd quarter.

Good teams – not great teams – can beat the bad teams when faced with complications. Such was a case Tuesday night with the rain. But, the Broncos had senior night and a good team. Ball State had to deal with the rain too, and a bad team.

The lack of attitude during the game was appalling. I think the O‑line would get a little upset over constantly having Hiller pressured. Or Hiller would be upset at giving the game away. Or the special teams would be upset at allowing the punt return because it appeared everyone ran down between the hashes. The team from 10 years ago wouldn’t have let this happen. For all of Hiller’s records – Tim Lester was a better QB.

I went home for Thanksgiving was the butt end of jokes from family members from CMU. Thanks football team for embarrassing me and the university against a 1‑10 team on ESPN2.
