The Equality of Transportation Initiative adds $8 to WMU students’ tuition to shuttle aviation students from WMU’s main campus to Battle Creek, according to a press releas by the Aviation Student Council.
Sixty-one percent of WMU students voted yes and 39 percent voted no for the Equality in Transportation Initiative, according to a press release provided by the Equality in Transportation team.
The $8 fee will also help fund Military in Leadership and aviation studies shuttle to East Lansing, according to the press release. Aviation students experienced large fees for transportation to Battle Creek before the fee was passed.
The Aviation Council is looking forward to providing the university with reliable transportation to Battle Creek by producing a bus schedule in collaboration with the Western Student Association, administration of the College of Aviation and the administration of WMU.
