UPDATE: Woman struck by car was WMU student Breeana Kay Dixit

Breeana Kay Dixit, a 22-year-old student at Western Michigan University from St. Clair Shores, Mich., was identified by police as the victim who died after being struck by a car on Sunday morning at West Michigan Avenue and Emajean Street.
The name of the driver hasn’t been released. Police say alcohol and speed are not expected factors at this time, but the investigation is still underway.
