Brian Peterson, 34, of Kalamazoo was charged with open murder of WMU alum Luke Vincent at his arraignment today.
Peterson is accused by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety of beating Vincent, resulting in the death of the victim.
Peterson was denied bond and will be held until trial.
Members of Detla Chi fraternity is currently draping their charter, donning their Delta Chi letters and colors in memory of their deceased brother.
A ceremony will be held in his honor.
