Have you had prior experience with WSA ? Other leadership roles outside the WSA?
While I have no prior experience in the WSA, I’m president of a registered student organization called the Western Film Society that brings independent films to WMU’s campus.
What is your committee and how do you plan on promoting the WSA through it?
As the newly-appointed IT Coordinator, I’ll be boosting the visibility of the WSA website and ensuring it’s as up to date and accessible as is possible.
What do you think WSA’s role is within WMU?
The WSA is a great asset to Western students, providing useful experience for its members and substantial resources for all student groups.
Why do you feel that you are qualified for this position?
I possess several years of experience in the IT field and have designed and maintained more than a few websites.
What are you goals for your position on the cabinet?
My goals include fixing any and all existing problems with the WSA website, revamping the site design, and just in general providing a great site with the functionality a group like the WSA deserves.

What is your committee and how do you plan on promoting the WSA through it?

What do you think WSA’s role is within WMU?
WSA’s role is the representation of the student body of WMU to the administration to address the needs of the students.

Why do you feel that you are qualified for this position?
Past experiences being in leadership positions in different organizations, professional work experience, and working with different organizations on campus are part of the reason I would say I’m qualified for this position. Effective communication, a sense of maturity, being level headed, transparent and unbiased are other skills that I bring to the table.

What are you goals for your position on the cabinet?
My goals are as follows,

1. Create awareness about the allocations process and to reach out to different organizations on campus to create that awareness.

2. Revisit the bylaws and guidelines to make sure there is clarity and detailed so that every organization can understand the funding process in a simple fashion.

3. To always make sure that the deliberation process is always fair and just.

Have you had prior experience in the WSA?  Other leadership roles outside the WSA?
Yes, I have been a senator for the Hayworth College of Business this year. I was the sponsorship chair of Colleges against Cancer. I will be residence assistant next year as well.

What is your committee and how do you plan on promoting the WSA through it?
I am the treasurer . I want to assist the rest of the executive cabinet in helping more people have their voices heard.

What do you think WSA’s role is within WMU?
WSA’s role is to the voice of all students who are enrolled at WMU.

Why do you feel that you are qualified for this position?
I feel that I have had a great deal of experience in finance and operational budgets. I have been observing the previous treasurer, Zachary Putnam a lot this year.

What are your goals for your position on cabinet?
My goals are to maintain the financial records for WSA and accurately keep track of all finances and the operational budget.

Yes, I was senator for the Hayworth College of Business and assistant to the Chief of Operations my freshman year.
What is your committee and how do you plan on promoting the WSA through it?
Chief of Operations- I plan on operating and supervising all the divisions of the WSA so that I can promote the WSA the best way possible.
What do you think WSA’s role is within WMU?
I feel it is the students’ way of communicating to Western’s administration so that their voice can be heard.
Why do you feel that you are qualified for this position?
I was the assistant to the Chief of Operations in my freshman year so I wanted to step up and have all the responsibilities the job entails my sophomore year.
What are your goals for your position on cabinet?
My goals are to attend as many committee meetings as possible including the Allocations Committee and Justice Committee so that I can provide as much support as possible.
