Oshtemo resident found murdered in apartment

The body of a Western Michigan University student was found Thursday, Oct. 15 at 1413 Concord Place Drive, Oshtemo Township.
Latonya Huff, a 26-year-old graduate of Groves High School in Beverly Hills, Mich., was last enrolled at Western Michigan University in the Haworth College of Business during the spring 2008 semester.
After an autopsy Friday, Huff’s death was reveald as a homicide in a Monday press release.
Police were called to Huff’s apartment Thursday at 11:14 a.m., after she failed to report to work at a National City Bank call center.
Huff’s vehicle was taken at the time of the homicide and was recovered in Detroit. The driver was arrested on unrelated charges and is being held in the Kalamazoo county jail according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
