The first Oberon Ale of 2013 was served as the clock rang in March 25, marking the official return of the seasonal beer.
The weather in Kalamazoo may not reflect the end of winter just yet, but that hasn’t prevented people from getting out and drinking some of the summer ale. Many fans of the ale associate it with spring, warmer temperatures, sunshine and baseball.

It's almost my favorite time of year. Oberon Season and Baseball Season. Ideally I will spend it drinking Oberon while watching baseball.

Several parties were held last night at bars and pubs throughout Michigan to welcome back Oberon. Many parties celebrating the 2013 release are scheduled around the state for the next few days, too.
The beer isn’t just offered on tap. Everyone that wants to enjoy an Oberon Ale in the comfort of home can purchase a six-pack or a 12-pack from local retailers. Bell’s began selling this popular beer in 12-packs last year, as well as Bell’s Amber ale.
For those that desire to show off their favorite beer in a way other than by sporting a bottle of it in their hand, Oberon apparel is available for purchase from Bell’s Brewery.
Oberon is typically available through September.
Happy #Oberon Day!
