While every Bronco football game is full of exciting, hard-hitting action, only one game features kings, queens, floats and other forms of merry regality in between the snaps.
Homecoming week kicks off today, the annual celebration of the returning alumni to Western Michigan University. The week of pageantry and festivity runs through Saturday, culminating with the homecoming game, where the Broncos will take the field against the UMass Minutemen on 2 p.m. at Waldo Stadium.
The Western Herald is feeling the school spirit buzzing throughout campus now. This month’s print edition of the Herald, which will be hitting campus newsstands today, focuses entirely this year’s Homecoming week, and the history surrounding previous games. We will also be updating the website with coverage of both the game and the events throughout the week.
While the university may put on a big show during the halftime, the game has traditionally seen some of the lowest student attendance in previous seasons. With that in mind, we want to ask you directly: are you going to this year’s Homecoming?
