If you are a high school football player in Southwest Michigan, then the KVA Classic is something you look forward to each season.

Hosted by the Kalamazoo Valley Association, the KVA Classic is a two-day event hosted at Waldo Stadium on WMU’s campus.

At this event, 10 conference teams from the area faced off in a series of five games, which allowed each team to play its league-opening game during the same weekend, on the same playing field.

On Friday, Galesburg-Augusta faced off against Olivet while Constantine took on Maple Valley later in the evening.

Saturday afternoon boasted three games: the first contest boasted Kalamazoo Hackett against Parchment at 2 p.m., followed by Kalamazoo Christian vs. Delton Kellogg at 5 p.m.  Wrapping up the night was Pennfield against Schoolcraft at 8 p.m.

Waldo Stadium is the largest venue that these students will get to play in during their high school experience, unless their team makes it to the state finals at Ford Field in Detroit.
