In these hard economic times, getting excited about holiday spending may be tough to do.  But for any veteran fashionista, this time of year brings new life to your otherwise tired winter wears.

So for those of you shopping for the stylish woman in your life, have no fear!  There are fashionable finds out there right now for every price range.

Magazine Subscriptions, prices vary:  Right now, magazine sales are down and big name titles are doing whatever it takes to get subscriptions up.  Now is the time to scoop up as many magazine subscriptions as you’re credit cards can handle.  Currently Allure is going for $12 for a year plus a free gift, Marie Claire is $10 for a two-year subscription, and Elle is $10 for a year.

Even the “fashion bible”- Vogue- is going for $15 plus a free gift with subscription.  They’re advertising huge savings that shouldn’t be missed.  All good fashionista’s know that magazines are important for furthering their style knowledge, and there is a bit of prestige that comes with subscribing to certain titles.  Keep your fashionista in the know!

M.A.C’s Holiday Lip and Eye Bags, $36:  These little bags are miracle workers for the fashionista with a jam packed social calendar!  There are four collections to choose from with two specializing in lips, and two specializing in eyes.  They include M.A.C’s latest holiday colors and products.  For an even bigger bonus, these sets come in cute metallic bags that fit everything neatly, and look super cute with any of the hottest looks for the holiday season.

Dogeared Jewels and Gifts, prices vary:  For the earth-friendly fashionista, this simple jewelry company specializes in meaningful pieces that have been recycled and are made of non-harmful materials.  They make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, canvas bags and other stylish gifts. Giving a Dogeared piece of jewelry is a sweet statement of anything from luck, love, to best wishes.  They are extremely delicate looking and compliment dressy occasions or casual looks.

The Satorialist, $25 at local Barnes and Nobles:  This book is a complied collection of fashion blogger Scott Schuman’s personal photographs. Wherever in the world he is, he is on the hunt for stylish people with his trusty camera. He gained fame on the Internet and his first book hit shelves this fall.  It’s a must have for any stylish person looking for the latest trends; what people are wearing anywhere in the world, or just searching for some inspiration.

If your Fashionista is more into clothing and shoes than accessories and knick-knacks, have no fear!  Here are some hot trends for the holiday season.

Over the knee boots:  These boots are fabulous for the colder weather.  They can be paired with jeans or leggings for a daytime look, and then short cocktail dresses and tights for later.  Steve Madden has some amazing styles to choose from, ranging from flat riding styles to towering heels.  Prices and colors vary.

Plaid:  Its still hot, people!  Not to mention, its warm and this winter is supposed to be another harsh one!  Get you’re fashionista a Kristen Stewart inspired plaid/flannel button-down.  Roll the sleeves up, pair it with skinny jeans, biker books, a big bag and a floppy beanie.

Leather:  Leather blew up this season.  The biker look could be found in all styles.  A great leather biker jacket, fitted well, can be worn with just about any outfit.  Leather driving gloves are a great addition to any outerwear look, also.  Surprisingly, leather amps up lady-like looks in a snap!  The brand Free People has amazing leather driving gloves starting at $48.  Invest in leather, get a great piece because it will not only last, but also leather is a wardrobe must-have.

The ‘Boyfriend’ look:  Men — give up your wears to the fashionista in your life!  The slouchy, baggy look is very in right now.  Oversized men’s button down dress shirts look great with a skinny belt and boyfriend blazers are a must-have for just about every outfit right now.

Vintage/Retro/Throw-back:  All things old are new again.  Iconic decades like the 50s, 80s and 90s are being brought back with a vengeance. Full skirts, cardigans and brooches make for the classic 50s lady-like looks.  Big shoulders, big accessories, and funky color tights make the 80s seem not so far away and 90s styles such as grunge are back.  However, all are modified (designers saw where they went wrong last time), for any of these looks places like consignment shops and Forever 21 are great places to start.
