Broncos who have been bummed out about the snowy and chilly weather last weekend have a little bit more to look forward today, on this year’s celebration of George Washington’s Birthday.
The temperature today is expected to reach a high of 46, warm enough to start melting most of the remaining snow left over from the weekend flurries. There is also a mild breeze expected throughout the rest of the day, with top wind speeds of 20 miles per hour coming from the south.
If you’re heading out this evening, though, you might want to grab an umbrella, as there is a 60 percent chance of rain after 4 p.m. today. The rainfall is expected to only reach around 1/10 of an inch thought the evening.
Later on tonight, though, these spring like conditions will likely take a more familiar turn for this time of year. A mixture of rain and snow is expected to fall from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m., then just snowfall from 4 a.m. onward. The National Weather Service expects around half an inch of accumulation by tomorrow morning.
