A breakfast discussion Friday will give businesses and the community a glimpse at some of Western Michigan University’s ongoing initiatives.
The Keystone Community Bank Breakfast Speaker series begins with Tim Greene, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs, speaking Friday morning at Schneider Hall’s Dean’s Conference Room.
Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with Greene’s talk, “WMU — Providing Higher Education Leadership,” beginning at 8 a.m.
“I’ll be discussing ongoing activities on campus that would interest businesses and the community about the direction of the university,” Greene said.
Greene plans to discuss the strategic plan currently being discussed by faculty, the Seita Scholars program for students coming out of foster care, WMU’s transfer program for community college students, new deans being hired, an update on planned Sangren Hall renovations, and the University’s enrollment numbers, among other things.
Greene said his talk would last around 20 minutes with questions afterwards.
The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.
Reservations can be made by calling the Haworth College of Business Dean’s Office at 387-5050.
