50 things to do before you graduate
By the Western Herald Staff
1) Go to the beach at South Haven
2) Visit Career Services before you’re a senior
3) Read at least one Western Herald front to back
4) Put on the freshman fifteen
5) Work out at the SRC to drop the freshman fifteen
6) Complain about construction on campus
7) Buy a Den Pop
8) Step in Miller Fountain, but don’t blame us if you get nailed with the $500.00 fee
9) Successfully appeal a parking ticket
10) Learn the words to the WMU Fight Song
11) Take a final. When you’re done, immediately change your major.
12) Step on the “W” by Waldo Library
13) Go to the 10th floor of Sprau Tower and take in the view
14) Try to figure out what the different sculptures around campus are
15) Run in the Campus Classic
16) Attend every home football game in one season
17) Form an intramural team with friends
18) Attend at least one Miller show
19) Work for the Western Herald!
20) Eat Ramen noodles everyday for a week
21) Wait 25 minutes for the bus when it would take 5 to walk to class
22) Go to Waldo’s on a Thursday for a pitcher
23) Climb the rock wall at the SRC
24) Live through a Kalamazoo blizzard and tell your friends you survived frostbite
25) Go watch cars crash into each other during said blizzard on the Valley I hill
26) Take part in a psychology experiment
27) Work at an on-campus job
28) Clean out your e-mail account so it’s not over quota
29) Listen to 89.1 WIDR-FM
30) Go to homecoming
31) Date someone from another school
32) Go to Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day (they turn the river green)
33) Relax on the grass by Miller Fountain
34) Ask a professor to Happy Hour
35) Work with a professor on a research project
36) Go to Maggie’s for breakfast after a hard night
37) Revisit your freshman Residence Hall
38) Visit all academic buildings on campus
39) Go to East Campus
40) Donate $5 to the WMU Foundation
41) Go to Bronco Bash
42) Take a fitness class at the SRC
43) Paint the rocks by the pond
44) Watch a movie at the Little Theatre
45) Take a day trip to Chicago to see “The Bean”
46) Meet and shake hands with President Dunn
47) Join a Registered Student Organization
48) Go see a show at The Strutt
49) Volunteer at an organization in downtown Kalamazoo
50) Watch a student recital at the Dalton Center
