wn Kalamazoo on “tax day” Wednesday to take part in the Kalamazoo Tea Party. Similar protests took place statewide Wednesday as supporters of the proposed Michigan Fair Tax took to the streets to draw support. The Michigan Fair Tax plan would replace all federal income and payroll based taxes in Michigan with a national retail sales tax and could make this the last “tax day” in our state’s history.
