The first suspect is described as 5'8"-5'10" with a medium build and the second suspect is described as 5'6"-5'8" with a medium build. Both suspects were thought to be in their early or mid 20's.

Graduation day

More than 2,500 degrees were handed out to Western Michigan students this Spring: 2,014 at the bachelor’s level, 458 at the master’s level and 24 at the doctoral level.

A New Mural

Richardson’s sculptures, pictured above, entitled Situation, left, and The Forgotten, right, are part of her sculpture exhibition, “Acknowledge the Primall.” Zenz’s paintings, from left, The Dreamer, The Machine, and The Believer are part of his painting exhibition, “The Moment of Truth.” The paintings will be exhibited at the Campus Pointe Mall after being selected as the winner of the 2008 Campus Pointe Mall Installation.

Kalamazoo’s Tax Day Tea Party

(Sarah Randall / Western Herald) Protesters gather in front of the Federal Building in downtown Kalamazoo on “tax day” Wednesday to take part in the Kalamazoo Tea Party. Similar protests took place statewide Wednesday as supporters of the proposed Michigan Fair Tax took to the streets to draw support. The Michigan Fair Tax plan would replace all federal income and payroll based taxes in Michigan with a national retail sales tax and could make this the last “tax day” in our state’s history.

The field, located behind the softball diamond off from Stadium Drive, is still in the first of two phases of construction. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by April 1.
