The first suspect is described as 5’8″-5’10″ with a medium build and the second suspect is described as 5’6″-5’8″ with a medium build. Both suspects were thought to be in their early or mid 20′s.

Kalamazoo’s Tax Day Tea Party

Protesters gather in front of the Federal Building in downtown Kalamazoo on “tax day” Wednesday to take part in the Kalamazoo Tea Party. Similar protests took place statewide Wednesday as supporters of the proposed Michigan Fair Tax took to the streets to draw support. The Michigan Fair Tax plan would replace all federal income and payroll based taxes in Michigan with a national retail sales tax and could make this the last “tax day” in our state’s history.

Western Michigan’s $2 million renovation project to the Hyames Field at Robert Bobb Stadium is still underway despite a three-game home series scheduled for this weekend. The field, located behind the softball diamond off from Stadium Drive, is still in the first of two phases of construction. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by April 1.
