Women’s softball takes first conference win, and home win of the season

The Western Michigan women’s softball team won their first conference home game of the season against Ohio, and took the win by four runs, 4-0. Kayla Houston hit the first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning out to left field, and in the same inning senior Samantha Vargocko hit a three run home run out to left field, and brought herself, junior Meghan Thomas, and junior Chelsea Westenburg in to take the lead 4-0. Meredith Whitney took the win for the Broncos, and with this win it is now her fourth shut out of the season thus far. The Broncos will take on Ohio again at 3:30 to finish up today’s  double header.
