Western Women’s Basketball team wins first game in three weeks.

The Broncos went into this game with a different intensity to win, and came out of the game very satisfied, and happy with the outcome. The Broncos only hope was to defeat MAC West competitor EMU so that they were not the worst team in the MAC West in the eyes of others, and they did just that. The Brown and Gold won the game by nine points, 76-67. A key factor in the Broncos win tonight was not only their energy, and intensity, but their ability to shoot the outside shots. The Broncos previous three-point record going into this game was six three-pointers made, and they left the court tonight with three more three-pointers made to bring their season high to nine three-pointers. The nine three-pointers made were made by two of the Broncos players, junior captain Molly Dwyer with five three-pointers made, and sophomore Brenna Banktson with four three-pointers made. Both of those players went home with their career high in three-pointers. The other leaders on the scoreboard were senior Tiera DeLaHoussaye with 17 points, and Freshmen Miame Giden with 14 points. The Broncos hope to continue their winning streak this Saturday at Kent state, at 7 PM.
