“Rave to the Grave V” may sound like a corny zombie movie, but it’s actually Monaco Bay’s fifth annual Halloween rager.

Included in the “Rave to the Grave” is the “Monster Mash,” which is hosted by Wild Bull Saloon & Steakpit and Monster Energy Drinks.
Monaco Bay and Wild Bull are both owned by Ryan Reedy and are conveniently adjacent to one another.

The lot between venues transforms to the “Block of Terror,” for October, and houses a mass, joint party on Oct. 29.
For the shindig, Wild Bull will be admitting anyone 18 or older, and Monaco Bay, 21 or older.

The tent that will be linking the two will be admitting anyone from either of the parties.

Plenty of dancing will be had at Wild Bull, which according to Bill Fahl, marketing director of Monaco Bay and Wild Bull, has been “shoulder to shoulder in past years.”

There will also be prize giveaways throughout the night, including a mini fridge stocked with Monster Energy Drinks as a prize for best costume.

“Perfect for a dorm room,” Fahl said.

Similar events will be featured at Monaco Bay, and they will also have drink specials of $3 You-Call-It’s until 1 a.m., as well as a cash prize of $250 for best costume.

For those determined to win that $250 Fahl said, “We’re going to be looking for something that’s clever with a lot of thought put into it. The costume should have some kind of angle, relevance, originality and also a sense of humor.”

The winner of last year’s contest was dressed as a Robocop, which can be seen at Block of Terror’s Web site: www.blockofterror.com.

Other Block of Terror events taking place this weekend include a Devil’s Night party on Friday, starting at 8 p.m. There will be live music, DJs, and food and drink specials.

Saturday will feature the annual WKFR “Kostume Bash” where there will be a cash prize of $1,000 for best costume, a $100 gift card to Frayed for sexiest costume, and an overnight stay at Henderson Castle for best couple costume.

DJ LA and dancing will be under the tent, DJ Creole will be at Wild Bull, and the players at Monaco Bay will be taking requests.
Admission is free before eight p.m. and $7 after.

Attending either of these parties will also get patrons $5 off the entrance to the 2nd Floor Haunted House, also going on through Halloween on the Block of Terror.
