The Western Michigan University baseball team moved up their Sunday game against the University of Toledo due to inclement weather on the horizon.
Games two and three of the three-game Mid-American Conference series against the Rockets was turned into a doubleheader Saturday afternoon, with game one starting at 1:05 p.m.

The Western Michigan University softball team won its game against Northern Illinois University at home on Saturday.
The Broncos prevailed, 6-4, over NIU and will come back to face them again for a game on Sunday.

Tourism in Kalamazoo will be the topic of discussion this Friday, April 29, during the annual Keystone Community Bank Breakfast Speaker Series.

Originally set for Tuesday, April 19, the game will now be played on Wednesday, May 4, at 3:05 p.m.

Officer Eric Zapata, a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer, was killed in the line of duty on Monday, April 18, after backing up another officer on a call about gunshots being fired, according to Blaine Kalafut, deputy chief at the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).

The panel included students with a wide range of sexual orientation who describe themselves as homosexual, queer, bisexual, transgender and pansexual.
