Bronco baseball drops two in doubleheader; gets swept on weekend

The Western Michigan University baseball team moved up their Sunday game against the University of Toledo due to inclement weather on the horizon.

Games two and three of the three-game Mid-American Conference series against the Rockets was turned into a doubleheader Saturday afternoon, with game one starting at 1:05 p.m.

Softball takes home match against NIU

The Western Michigan University softball team won its game against Northern Illinois University at home on Saturday.

The Broncos prevailed, 6-4, over NIU and will come back to face them again for a game on Sunday.

WMU chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi wins district award

Originally set for Tuesday, April 19, the game will now be played on Wednesday, May 4, at 3:05 p.m.

Death of Kalamazoo Public Safety officer hits home

Officer Eric Zapata, a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer, was killed in the line of duty on Monday, April 18, after backing up another officer on a call about gunshots being fired, according to Blaine Kalafut, deputy chief at the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).
