Justin Townes Earle performs at KPL

After playing Hoxeyville Music Festival in Wellston, Mich., singer/songwriter Justin Townes Earle, the son of the famous country musician and troubadour, Steve Earle, came to the Van Duesen Room in the Kalamazoo Public Library on Monday, Aug. 23. The room was filled to capacity for the library’s 32nd free concert in a row.

Rebranded, The Go Rounds rock The Strutt

Andy Caitlin stepped through the back door of the stage quietly at The Strutt Friday, Aug. 27. He placed himself at his keyboard as if to do sound check. After a minute or so of merely making noise, droning a chord over a slew of samples and loops, Tod Kloosterman made his way through that back door. He picked up his fretless five-string bass and slid his way up and down the neck, doodling over Caitlin.

Bronco volleyball to hold Alumni match

This is the first glimpse at the 2010 Bronco volleyball team, which includes their nationally-ranked recruiting class of outside hitters Gillian Asque, Ali Gossen and Taylor Richard, middle blocker Emily Harris, libero Lena Oliver and setter Terin Norris.
