Twenty students win Medallion scholarships

Twenty freshmen won Medallion Scholarships to begin their studies at Western Michigan University this fall.

Medallion scholarships are among the highest honors WMU can bestow on an incoming freshman.

Tour of campus constuction

President John Dunn got a tour of over a dozen of the construction projects on campus.

A group of Western Michigan University Facilities Management officials hopped aboard two golf carts and drove around campus to show the president the work being done at WMU.

2010 Bronco Bash registration has begun

Booth registrations for Western Michigan University’s 2010 Bronco Bash, Friday, Sept. 10, at Fountain Plaza, has begun.

2010 marks the 30th anniversary of Bronco Bash, which will be the festival’s theme, according to Lynnae Stankus, Associate Director for Student Activities and Leadership Programs.

Brady Quinn returns to South Bend

It is a  rainy afternoon in the city of South Bend, Ind. that is most notably known for being the home of the University of Notre Dame.

Cars are everywhere and despite the weather, hundreds of people stand outside waiting to pour into the Century Center across from the College Football Hall of Fame.

Kobe Bryant leads the Lakers to the championship

Game 7 of the 2010 National Basketball Association Finals was make or break for everyone involved. No one had more on the line than Kobe Bryant.Bryant entered the 2010 campaign coming off of a championship season. Last year’s championship came against the Orlando Magic though.The Magic aren’t the Celtics. There is no such thing as a Lakers/Magic rivalry and the Magic didn’t embarrass the Lakers in 2008.

New look coming for Bernhard Center

There is something different about the newly renovated stairwell and vestibule at the Bernhard Center.

The renovation included adding a newly designed wall with new doors, ceilings and light fixtures, new finishes, and a new feature wall on the upper landing — and it’s only the beginning of what is in store for the Bernhard Center.
